Video: Rihanna covers “Paper Planes” and “Doo Wop (That Thing)”

I know I’m late posting this video. It’s all over the Internet. Rihanna performed during MTV’s ‘Italia’s Mobile Bang’ concert 2 weeks ago. In this video she covers MIA’s glorious “Paper Planes” and Lauryn Hill’s classic “Doo Wop (That Thing)”, among other tracks.

I’m not feeling Rihanna’s vocals in this vid. Was she tired from chasing behind that geek Chris Brown? There was no energy. Maybe she needed to stand in one spot and let loose?

lol @ Sharonda. I thought that was funny. I think this is the best Rihanna will be at performing live. Everybody’s not good at it, but I still think she’s better than Keisha Cole. And yes I’ve seen both of them live.

I knew I heard Paper Planes before…she sang that at the Kanye Tour when she came through… you guys are right – she has no stage presence at all. She really needs to hire a concert manager/choreographer.

she didn’t sound that bad on the doo wop but on the first song it just wasn’t the song for her, song choices are so important you have to be a dynamic singer to sing everything, now on the bet awards she sounded nice, she’s not a powerhouse but she does have a little singing ability. and we often for get the girl has an accent. now keyshia is my girl, and i think she smokes which takes away from her range, she is not the best singer but the girl is talented in her writing ablility i loved her last two cd’s her writing ability takes up for her lacking in the actually singing department. but overall i like rhianna and i love keyshia cole!

That little heffa betta watch it with her feeble attempts to cover ANY of the Great Lauryn Hill’s work!!! She couldn’t even mimick Ms. Hill saying Amen at the end of a prayer if she wanted to!
