Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was thrown in jail for violating probation from a 6-car crash in Dallas, Texas.
Rice, 26, was arrested on Tuesday, May 19, after testing positive for THC, the chemical associated with a marijuana high.
A judge ordered Rice to spend 30 days in a Dallas County jail with a release date of June 16, the New York Post reports.

Rice will be out of jail by the time the 2026-2027 NFL season begins on September 9.
A small amount of marijuana was also found in a Lamborghini that Rice was driving during a hit-and-run crash in 2024.
A Corvette, owned by Rice, and a Lamborghini, leased to him, were abandoned on the highway. Police said the cars reached speeds over 100mph on the highway before the multi-car crash.
Police said 4 people were injured and a man and his wife were transported to a hospital.
Leaving the scene of an accident with injuries is a felony in Dallas, Texas.
In July 2025, Rice pled guilty to one count of racing on a highway causing bodily injury and one count of collision involving serious bodily injury. He was sentenced to 5 years probation and ordered to pay restitution to victims that totaled $115,481.91.
Rice also agreed to settle a lawsuit filed by the couple for $1 million plus their legal fees. Another lawsuit was also filed.
