More details are emerging in the brutal murder of Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson’s nephew, Julian King: according to Chicago’s Newsradio780, the FBI said the body found in a white Suburban is that of Julian King.
The Chicago Tribune cites law enforcement sources who say the body was found on the floor in the back seat of the white Chevrolet Suburban police were looking for in their search for 7-year-old Julian King.
Sources said that the boy was shot twice in the head and also suffered head trauma. The boy was wearing basketball shorts and a white T shirt when found. Police believe the boy was shot to death inside the Suburban. Police are testing the clothing of a man in custody for gunshot residue. The clothing is believed to belong to William Balfour, Jennifer Hudson’s bother-in-law.
Balfour was taken into custody at a girlfriend’s home hours after the bodies were found. Sources say the girlfriend contradicted his alibi. Police say they’ve also caught him in at least one other lie. Police were able to track his whereabouts Friday through cell phone records, sources said. The girlfriend lives two miles from where the truck was found.
Hudson family members are on their way to the Cook County medical examiner’s office this afternoon to identify the body. Police Supt. Jody Weis will hold a press conference at 4 p.m. today.
Police arrived at the Suburban with Illinois license plate X584859 before 8 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Kolin Avenue, after receiving a call of a suspicious vehicle.
LaSahawn Bouie, 36, said officers first opened the back door. “They knew there was a body in there,” he said, adding that investigators looked inside and then too pictures.
It was found by a 75-year-old who lives on the block, John Louden. He said he has lived on the block for 18 years and worried about people selling drugs in the abandoned building behind it. He saw the SUV while walking his dog. After a double-take, he realized the license plate matched the one police were looking for.
“I didn’t look in there. I didn’t touch it. I knew it was a strange vehicle,” Louden said. He said police showed up in about five minutes after his wife called them. They discovered the child inside. The body was removed and the SUV was towed away for evidence processing. “I feel bad about that baby,” Louden said.

I do not know what your faith is, but as a baptist I lean on the Lord to help me through trying times like these. The God I serve has never made it a bad thing to feel pain or sadness when someone loses someone special or close to them. I am aware that everyone comes and goes and I understand that God works in mysterious ways. But that helps as time goes on, it does not help now.
Since you lack any empathy to understand the plight of this family and can only view this tragedy through your clinical and academic mind. Perhaps its best you save your insights for time when this is less raw for everyone. This family desreves our prayers and our condolences. You hardness is unwelcome at this time.

This is way to painful, to think someone could actually shoot a little boy twice in the head. My prayer’s are with the family at this time.
Whom ever murdered that little boy did so because he would be able to identify them as the assassin. The boy is 7 years old and knows the people around him, which left the killer with little choice but to take the child life. In reality very little crimes are left unsolved due to the technological upgrades to the police force.
I am sorry this child had to be a victim to this tragic saga of mother and ex-husband (speculation). People are desperate and will do anything for money and especially if they are already one with a criminal mind. I don’t know the entire story but reading between the lines is not hard. Even if it were a group of unknown people they still were trying to shake this family down for money.
What is this world coming to? I pray for the Hudson family. This person was a sick individual and I hope they are killed in jail. As a matter of fact I hope he suffers before he actually dies………….

Initially I came in this post to once again express my condolences to the family and grieve with those that are feel the pain of this horrid act. Sorry I got off track with my last post. I’m just saying though, this should be a day of grief and respect, not silliness.
Anyway, I just can not get Julian off my mind, not that I’m trying. My heart is so broken for what he must have endured. I am anxious for the police to charge the heartless, less than a man (or men or whomever) that could murder a child , just horrible.

Charles in my line of work I see children brutalized every day(i’m a youth director)I still find it hard not to empathize with these children..i’m good at my job because my heart goes to them each time I hear and see what they go through. Your line of work may make you hardened to get through your day, but not everyone is like that. You keep trying to give your point of view and quite frankly this isn’t the time for it. Yes we all know with life comes death, but pain involving an innocent child is not something you can easily let go. Is it that hard for you to see that not everyone is as logical as you are in regards to this tragedy? Is your tunnelvison such that you can’t see that your questions or statements were not needed at this time? Is is truly that hard for you to step back and think before you speak? This story reminds me of the Indiana story where the two mothers were shot holding their babies multiple times! Sandra could you revise the story for those who missed it. Killings like these are happening two frequently.
I am from Chi-town and the state of Ingle wood is so sad. Just drivign through the area looking at the dismal run down area is sad. Some of the people out their are just angry and confrontational! They walk all out in the road waiting for you to say something to them. The young are running wild and it is terrible.
Not leaving out other parts of the city that is crime ridden but Inglewood has always been a terrible area! Something needs to be done. It’s like the people that live their are hopeless.
