Now that Barack Obama is headed for the White House flush after having tallied over $600 million in campaign contributions — the most ever in history for a presidential candidate — the Democratic National Committee is crying broke!
Can you believe it?
A loyal reader and esteemed member of my community forwarded this email to me:
Our friends at the Democratic National Committee laid it all on the line to bring change this year.
We’ve been reviewing the books, and the DNC went into considerable debt to secure victory for Barack and Joe. It took unprecedented resources to staff up all 50 states, train field organizers, and build the technology to reach as many swing voters as possible.
It worked.
But it also left the DNC in debt. So before we do anything else, we need to help pay for this winning strategy.

Obviously I thought this was a joke considering the hundreds of millions raised by Obama that have gone unaccounted for.
While the DNC is reviewing their books, there will be no investigation of the millions in under $200 donations to Obama from such contributors as “Mickey Mouse.”
He Won .. I gave to the campaign .. and I’ll give to the DNC ..
Hey .. lets ask WHY and HOW the City of atlanta .. can have a 50-60 million Dollar Budget shortfall .. and lable it as a SUDDEN shortfall ? ? ?
Thats what I wanna know .
DNC did what they had to do to make history. They’ll work it out.
Im sure Oprah can bail him out
ANd just like the democrats, careless spending with no accounatability
maybe they should ask for some of that Republican fueled bailout money
LOL, IS ALL I CAN SAY
BTW, BOTH PARTIES ARE FULL OF CRAP. IT’S CALLED POLITICS SO SCREW THE REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRATIC PARTIES. STILL LOVING OBAMA IN THE WHITEHOUSE, THOUGH.
What Sandra didn’t mention was that if you donate $30 as specified in the email you will receive an Obama victory tee. Most of the emails that went out throughout the campaign almost always offered you some sort of tangable item. So try again Sandra … you cannot hold Barack accountable for the DNC’s finances.
And like Kym asked … what’s going on w/ the A’s budget?

She did mention the over priced T.
Sandra, quick question?
who’s the loyal reader and esteemed member of my community, often times you’re so quick to say who sent you what(when it comes down to info) dunno just asking….
Sandra are you on some kind of witch hunt for Obama. All through the campaign you have been so negative against Obama. Seriously, its pathetic. Why are you so mad at him and do you think John McCain would have been a better choice and if so, why? You are entitled to your opinion but its like you are obsessed with putting this man down. Why is that? You don’t even vote in this country yet you try your hardest to force your negative opinion about Obama on everyone who reads your blog.Tell me some great things about Bush,McCain, and Palin then maybe then I will be able to understand your grudge against Obama.
I always did wonder where did the unspent money go? That’s just a general question
The DNC is raising funds for OBAMA 2012!
@ 10- Judging by the correction it probably was Anna…
Thanks ….
Ok Sandra…I have a question:
Since you don’t think Barack O. is not the answer, what do you suggest we do in reference to the economic downfall we’re experiencing?
I hope you answer…and I don’t want quotes from economic “experts” (oxymoron), what do YOU think??????????
@Anna:
The T is not overpriced, its not for sale, the $30 bucks is a DONATION and they OFFER a t-shirt.
@Charles:
Have you researched where the money was allocated? Or do you just blog all day and find that as a reliable source of information?
