A company in Spain has introduced a new soft drink to commemorate the election of the first biracial president in the U.S.

The soft drink, named La Obama Soda, will be manufactured by the EFE company and sold only in Spain. “Nuestro objetivo es sensibilizar a la gente de los barrios con el ejemplo increíble de Obama,” said EFE spokesman, Jean-Jacques Attisso — whatever that means. Maybe one of our Hispanic members can translate.

According to sandrarose.com community member Hermosa, the above quote translated means: “Our goal is to sensitize the people in the neighborhoods with the incredible example of Obama.”

Also in Spain, a company is selling Obama Christmas ornaments. The ornament depicts Obama doing … well … you can see for yourself. The figurines were on display at the Santa Llucia Fair in Barcelona.

Statuettes of well-known people defecating are a strong Christmas tradition in Catalonia, dating back to the 18th century. Catalonians hide the figurines in Christmas Nativity scenes and invite friends to find them. The figures symbolize fertilization, hope and prosperity for the coming year.
