Rihanna’s Injuries Are Not ‘Horrific’

I agree with Rihanna’s people who said her injuries were not as bad as the media and blogs had been reporting.

For instance, someone exaggerated wildly when he said her eyes were swollen shut. Her eyes are not even swollen!

She simply closed her eyes — probably at the request of the officer taking the picture.

She has a few light contusions and bruising on her face. There is dried blood on her lip — probably from a laceration inside her mouth.

I’m not defending CB by any means, but Rihanna’s features appear to be distorted because the officer was standing so close to her face. Also, the exposure was way off. The cheapest consumer digital camera could have taken a better picture than that.

It would seem to me that the LAPD should be able to afford better equipment to present its evidence more accurately.

Sandra for one I’m pretty sure they took other pictures of her face. And we both know that what you see right now is not the full extent of the bruising. This was taken right after the attack which means that her face looked ten times worse then that at the hospital and even the next day. And I’m sure they have pictures of that as well.

I disagree, she looks like she got her azz whooped, no joke intended. I’ve seen female victims of domestic violence, many times. They look just like her. Actually, sometime they don’t even look that bad.

OK, I am with #10. I still holding judgement until I get both sides of the story. I want to see what Chris looked like after the fight. I bet he had scratchs and got punched too. I just can’t picture him out of the blue beating her behind.

Princess Rhi Rhi is just that jacked up. On top of that these are fresh bruises taken moments after the attack. Heck blood is still on her mouth. I don’t know who said her eyes were swollen. There were some reports that came out that I didn’t believe. I didn’t believe anything said by family members, none of whom even said they had seen her. Her eyes are already beginning to swell in this pic as you can see by looking at her brow line on BOTH eyes. You can rest assured that the next day they were swollen shut. I know you’re a photographer and all, but the pic is not as distorted as you seem to think. Her face is distorted from the beat down.

@Bird her father had seen h er when he commented and he said she had some brusises but he never seemed all upset IMO. So I took that to mean it wasnt as bad as the media reported. He did say he didnt want her to go back to him but thats what any father would say any good one that is.

I’ve unfortunately been in a domestic abuse situation and Rihanna got fu**ed up. She has two knots on the side of her head. Her mouth loks like it was bleeding and they cleaned it up the best they could. believe me….this pictures is bad..but we need to see the pics of a couple of days later because that is when the black n blue comes out. then you can see everywhere she got hit.

If niccas spoke out against Michael Vick and ganged up with PETA on that ish, I want to see what the industry has to say after seeing this picture. Chris got issues. Scratching is considered self-defense marks, if there were any I didn’t see it. But there were no reports of Rihanna having a gun or a knife to justify him knocking some sense into her.

The People article kinda made it seem like Rihanna’s father had seen her although he didn’t outright say that. So he confirmed for either E! or Us Weekly that he HAD NOT seen her. Once he said that I didn’t believe any of the the family that were commenting. They were just trying to get their 15 minutes.

They are horrific to me and appear to be exactly how they were initially described by the LAPD…her fam. tried to downplay it to take attention off of it. But two knots like that…two black eyes….a busted mouth…bruises on her face…I mean that’s pretty bad…Poor Rih Rih….he must have went into a rage.

I hope you are not still with your boyfriend who gave you a black eye in retaliation. Whatever he did that caused you to get violent was probably grounds for a breakup. You hitting him was grounds for a breakup. Him hitting you was grounds for a breakup. The fact all three things occured means both of you are out of control. No you shouldn’t hit a man, but if he was a for real for real man he would have gotten the hell out of dogde when you hit him rather than stand around telling you to stop when you already proved you were out of control. HE SHOULD HAVE LEFT. His behavior is as inexcuseable(sp) as yours and moreso because he is physically stronger than you. I don’t care what you heard to the contrary. We have got to stop excusing these men’s bad behavior. And what did he do to piss you off so bad? Did you forget about that?

I too had to learn not to hit. As afraid as I was of my abusive ex, when I caught him cheating I hit him several times because he went to sleep rather than argue with me when he walked in the house at 6am. That was grounds for me to leave. Instead I stayed up all night waiting for him to get home with visions of him rolling in bed with some chick dancing in my head. HE WAS WRONG.

I’m not going to go on and on. I just hope you ladies that think there is something Rhi Rhi could possibly have done to ask for this change your tune at some point. We are the ones raising these men so now you can see where they get their attitudes from.

Oh please believe I’m nosey as all get out and I’m anxiously awaiting the Rihanna or Chris Browon book even if they take 10/20 years to write them. I just GOTTA know what happened that night. But that is not the message I am getting from some of the comments. Some people still want to know what Rihanna did to provoke Chris. I hope the boy is attending counselling as we speak and preparing his press conference.

Why is everyone always shocked by Intense? She been raging for years. She reminds me of Khia. If you get through all the name calling, cursing and general ghetto talk she makes sense much of the time. Her presentation is just hostile, hence the name.

Bird I completely agree with you as I said before I stuck my husband while we were in an intense argument in front of my baby boy no less and he held my hands until I calmed down. It was quite a silly agrument too because I don’t even remember what started it. But if ever got to the point you described above the best thing to do on the women’s part is to walk away.

With that said I just really don’t believe there is anything on this earth that would convince me that it is okay for a man to beat another woman down like that. I know there are three sides to every story and my point is whatever Chris’s side, Rhianna’s side(she still has not made a statement so I’m still waiting for her confirmation) and the truth’s side doesn’t matter to me.

The fact is that a woman who happens to be a super star was very seriously beaten…(hell I didn’t even look like that when I got stomped by 10 boys and girls in middle school) by Chris a man who happens to be a super star. It was wrong period. And I’m not going to pray for a serial killer, suicide bomber, molester or woman beater but I would hope that God softens their heart and allows them to get the help that they so desperately need.

Okay off my soap box and I am officially done with this whole sichuascion.

@Bird he has time to prepare for his press conf. it won’t come before his court date on the 5th and might not happen then. Bless his heart. I can’t say enough how I hate this for BOTH of them. Heartbreaking. I wonder if his mother feels guilty that she didn’t get him help sooner. I pray for that family and hers.

The other lady that said she hit her boyfriend and gave him a black eye and they both ended up with black eyes honestly my dear not being judgmental you need to get help and leave that relationship! It is toxic…not just to your health but to your mind set! IT IS NOT OK FOR ANYONE MALE OR FEMALE TO HIT ON THE OTHER PERSON…PERIOD!!!!!! We all get mad and want to do someone bodily harm at one time or another…but you shouldn’t! I also must comment on Intense Mocha’s statements. Girl, I think you are right ON. Black people just frustrate me. Women I know are QUICK to say, Well what did Rihanna do to deserve this? She must have provoked him. Poor Chris. WHAT? I don’t get this mentality. I know from experience that denial/enablers do more harm than well intentions, well that’s my opinion. Example: My bad a$$ baby brother was into robbery. Here he was 13 robbing people who worked hard for the nice things they had in there houses, and yet he was never made to be held accountable for that. *Well by my immediate family*

Even when he was guilty as sin and got in trouble, guess who went and got him out, put money on his books, got him a lawyer, went and visited him etc… My mother. I helped with bail, visitation, money on his books etc… WE *my family and I*, helped create that little monster and then when he and his friends robbed a convenience store, and we found the gun in the shed, had the nerve to wonder where he went wrong. Saw all kinds of signs, who in the hell give their friends tv’s, stereos, game systems, games etc… Hell even a gold class ring from the 70’s *come on now* again very few questions asked. Maybe someone we aren’t kin to passed it down to him? J/K

I do think things may have been different had we called the police every time we found anything suspect, gave no money, didn’t visit or write him *after the 1st time*. Didn’t bail his a$$ out of jail and every bad situation he put himself in, until the very last time we COULDN’T help anymore. As many people as we had praying for this juvenile REPEAT offender, I know everyone on here was praying. LOL!! I do know people can change, because he has.

Sandra, I’ve been saying the same thing since I’ve seen these photo, Rihanna injuries were extremely exaggerated. I even read somewhere online that her face was so damage that she would need plastic surgery. I’m not cool with what Chris did to her but this is anything but horrific.

The pictures are horrific. RIhanna had to be taken to the hospital hours later because the swelling and bruising was so bad. The hospital has pictures as well to show the black eyes, and other damages Chris caused. Some of you must have grown up in abusive households because I dont care how many times a chick hits a man he should be able to restrain her or call the cops. Chris is trained in martial arts, he knows how to subdue an attacker. If Chris is innocent why did he leave her on the streets of L.A. by herself? If Chris was innocent why did he have a warrant for his arrest and didnt turn himself in until 12-14 hours later with his lawyers. The lambo has no damage to it, so there was no accident.
Chris Brown reportedly has a scratch on his face and we saw his bruised knuckles. Rihanna was more than slapped she was abused. I dont need to hear the whole story to know what happened, the picture says it all. When the story is told its not going to makee the pictures seen okay, it will make him look even mor stupid.

We are grown, and speaking from one adult to another in that manner is uncalled for. I wont get upset, cause I am not the one for tongue wrestling so no need to get all worked up over some ignorance and popping that will NEVER amoutn to anything. Yes he is wrong, no matter what the extent of her injuries, but nothing OFFICIAL was released until today. I took it as the individuals making the comments, such as myself, were practicing what the laws of this country states and that is an individual is innocent until proven guilty.
