FanMAIL: Mike Vick

Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Mike Vick is expected to be released from prison on July 20 and placed on home confinement. He was sentenced to 23 months in prison on federal dog fighting charges in August 2007.

Vick was scheduled to be released to a halfway house, but luckily for him there was no room. So he will be heading home to Virginia instead. This is great news for Vick’s hard core fans who held vigil for him on a website created by fans.

Hello All. It’s a damn shame they gave this man any jail time at all. You’d think he’d raped a child or killed his mother. After all, they were dogs, pit bulls at that. Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs but they are just that DOGS! Humans are much more important, and yes, ALL humans. Sometimes white folks seem to forget that we are just that: HUMANS. They seem to have way more compassion for animals than for their fellow man. I’m just saying. I wish Mr. Vick much luck and success but like someone said: Please stay away from animals.

One last thing. They could have given him 5000 community hrs working with animals, better yet, our lost black youth. Peace.

it sure is gonna be hard for vick to get his paper back up like it used to be! i wish him much luck. all he did was fund the shyt, he wasnt there cheerin the dogs on. it was definitely sad to hear of the situation but come on now, lil pookie off of MLK Ave done shot somebody n got less time than that!
