Longtime reader Danny Blaq is our guest blogger today. Danny, aka DBlaq, is an industry professional for over 12 years who has worked with many of today’s artists. He is also an entrepreneur with many business ventures under his hat including an online radio station (e411 Radio), graphic design, digital media services and a modeling agency.
DBlaq responded to my post on Democrat mandated prison time for Americans who refuse to buy health insurance if ObamaCare passes.
Dblaq writes:
I don’t agree with that policy either, I don’t think people should be forced to buy anything in a free country. Also, whats annoys the crap out of me when people keep saying “Not on my tax dollar”. You don’t own that tax dollar. They spend that money however they want, regardless how you feel about it, once it’s out of your check, paid or garnished. It belongs to the government. So stop saying that.
There are other options [than] mandating the insurance. For one: regulate insurance companies just like they do Georgia Power or any other monopolized company. Also, if they would just revamp the welfare system. How many of us know people on welfare get food stamps, only to sell them for 50%? Or if you are on welfare you shouldn’t be allowed to have any kids. People say that you can’t tell people what they need to do, Well I think they can when they want FREE Sh*t.
So there are a bunch of alternatives [than] to force people to buy insurance. Health care in Europe is not free. They pay more taxes over there plus they complain that their wait times are anywhere from 4 weeks – 6 months. WTF? Japan has a good healthcare system but it would never work in the US because of the type of people we are. Alot of things wouldn’t work for us because of our culture, so we can’t look at other countries.
I like what Obama stood for in his campaign, but that doesn’t mean I will agree with everything he does and I think that is a problem with us black people. We will take anything Obama says as gold because he is black. He [has] good points of views and he has bad ones. That is a bad one. Of course the lawmakers ain’t worrying about it because they already get the best healthcare there is!

dblaq, it’s good to put a name with a face.
isn’t he a regular on here already? I’ve seen his name for months if not years. I wouldn’t call him a “guest blogger” but
all the same.
Ok Wow! uh thank you for putting on blast!
You should have used the pic with me with no shirt on
Alrighty then! DBlaq-take it away :popcprn:
Yup i buy foodstamps from a crackhead whenever i can, hell times are hard. I watched Michael Moore movie Capitalism and WOW it makes it think. Hey if we can insure our cars and houses why not buy health insurance? But to be put in jail is a little exstreme. If you don’t want health insurance just make Rite Aide your best friend for the rest of your life.
co-sign…I agree
Dblaq is a regular…but i haven’t seen post much in awhile….or maybe its my imagination
so YOUR dblaq… word.
Thats Jin from the Ruff Ryders!

Dblaq u look like one of my cousins awww *waves*
^^^ Shut up! I am blasian and we hot right now! (I think). And I am LSSH. Thank you!
@Crystal, I think we all have, my point is that there are people on welfare that really don’t deserve it. There people on welfare that feel the system is suppose to take care of them while they sit at home and do nothing. People that deserve welfare are those that work hard but not make enough and need that extra boost, or people that lost their jobs and it will help them through until they get back on their feet.
Plenty of times I see people at seafood spots buy the hell out of King Crab Legs with the EBT cards.
I think we all should have health insurance but to mandate it is wrong, If the insurance were affordable I would think people would buy it, the ones that still can’t afford should be able to get medicaid just like they do now.
If you mandate things that will give health insurance probably more power because they know that now you HAVE to have it. Just like with your car insurance, hell if you late 2 days on your payment they report you to the state, what happened to 7 – 10 days. I know plenty of people that deserve public assistance but don’t get it and then I know plenty of people that get public assistance and DON’T deserve it. if you flip flop it than things would be better
LSSH = Light skinned short hair?
blasian = black/asian
Thats too funny!
anyway I do agree with what you are saying about the healthcare issue. I guess I never really paid much attention to the topic because I have always maintained health benefits through my employer. but looking to follow in the practices of other countries in order to reform our healthcare crisis is definitely not the answer especially due to the fact that our culture and the way we live in the US is much different than that of the countries we are looking to mimick.
MrsHawthorne you are killing me with that pic., it was hard to read your comments. LOL. Dblaq got a guest blog post. Wow. Dblaq because you are one of us your email that Sandra posted is the only one that did not get disected. Dblaq many ppl read Sandrarose your words will be heard.
That’s pretty cool that you would do that, Sandy! I been to dblaq’s page a few times from here.
I really do need to do some more research before I offer opinion on this.
i see chics in the clinic with REAL LV bags pull out their Benefit card by day, foodstamp card at night. I have to pay $20 co-pay for doctor visits and $5-35 copay for Rx’s. Thank goodness that i know so many drug reps and doctors who i can get my samples from because the drug and medical field is monopolized. When i worked for Lenox Hill Hospital i would give samples of baby formula (just like the size in stores)by the cases and birth control pills (by the boxes)to the individual’s who really could not afford it or could not get WIC. Even folks with health insurance is hit hard. I just pray that my daughter doesn’t get sick as much or hurt herself to get a E.R. visit because i would have to pay the co-payment for the ER and another for the doctors visit as if she went to her PCP

Sad. What is wrong with working for what you have. Many yrs ago I lived in a apt that went section 8. When I got up to go to work there were all these nice shiney new cars in the parking lot with no one getting in them to go to work. If my rent were $20/month I too would have had the shiney brand new car. I don’t mind having a co pay vs not having any insurance at all. I am not for this Health Care Plan. I have had my doc for over 20 yrs. and I am getting to old for change. LOL. What change are we getting with Obama? I am trying so hard to support him but some things should not be messed with and health care is one of them. Let the docs and the specialists do their job and let the government stay out of it.
@dblaq
I totally agree and feel you on that. I know a lot of people that’s milking the system and its totally not fair. I am always up in the grocery store wit all these chiks wit they man getting t-bone steaks and a cart full of ish they know they wouldn’t buy if it wasn’t free. (hell it’s free to them, but not to the tax-payers like me) I be so royally pissed off, because here I am with my 10 to 15 items paying cash…trying to feed my daughter! It’s not fair! I am totally for helping those who actually need help, but I know too many bishes that got section 8, and they man own the building they living in. They getting food stamps ($500 and above) for children that don’t even live with them. Or they getting subsidize housing with no kids and a man laying up with them. I damn near got to be homeless for them to consider giving me some help. You have to go through so much red tape and bull-ish to even get an appointment. (I was out of work for a couple of months doing my externship for school, and I applied for food stamps…and them bishes played me to the left. I couldn’t come to the appointment because it was during my externship hours. And they did not care..seemed like they were using every excuse they could to not give me the fs.)
But, anyway I think everything needs some type of reconstruction. From food stamps, to healthcare, to WIC, to section 8…EVERYTHING! Weed out those who are milking the system! Sorry fb fam, I am rambling. But, I know some of you feel me!
Republicans would never agree to goverment controlled health Ins. Can’t contol who has kids. This can lead to extermination of the desirable. Its happened before. Welfare ok for first child after that your on your own. Food stamp abuse have them go to food pantries. Also, no able bodied person receiving aid should be sitting at home. Make them clean up the community. And these guys who can’t. Pay. Support should clean

I think you have to look at what the original Democrat and Republican really were. Over the hundreds of years the base principals got all stretched to what it is suppose to be.
Republicans usually are for free entrepreneurship, less government interference, and basically a for themselves type attitude and accountability. They can be compared like a jock in the movies that bullies the weak.
Democrats core values suppose to be for Big goverment and it governing our society, the belief is that we suppose to look for the greater good of all people instead of our own. They are for the poor, weak and believe that everything is justified in some way when people mess up, its not really their fault.
This is where the big divide is the Republicans are usually the rich, they control the big pipelines and corporation, so with that you have power because we are all dependent on it. Democrats want to regulate it more and feel that the rich need to be taxed to the help the poor. Repub’s do not see it that way.
However, in our course of history when you look at it, the founding core of these big corporation are dating back into the beginning of times. The laws and system has been created to appease them and not any minorities plus minorities. So they had the major head start in creating the system. Blacks, indians, etc really didn’t have a clue. With all that being said the republicans are now the rich and wealthy with long money, deeply rooted ties to the system which works for them. So they really control the government and everything is fixed in their favor.
So now with the democrats due to their believes are more geared towards the disadvantaged and under privileged. So they believe that the big boys need to be controlled and they need to play fair to put everybody on a equal playing ground. Its a long topic but if you look at the core of it you can understand what is going on and why majority of minorities are democratic versus republican.
Health Care is BIG business and of course who owns it, so they don’t want anybody to control it, the same thing with the banks. They are who really controlled this country for all these years. Its about money, the republicans can be labeled as society where if you look at the values for what it stands for it makes sense but it is unattainable for majority of us because we were never a part of this club.
I believe in free enterprise, I believe in accountabilty and I believe that government should only be a backbone structure and not the Big Daddy. However, the playing field is not equal because we don’t really control anything, like corporations, equifax, banks, etc the republicans do. So I think we need a combo of both.
