Loyal reader Shari J. Flynn took issue with the comments under this picture of Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson in a post I wrote yesterday. I totally agree with her assessment that there is nothing wrong with Jennifer Hudson’s body. The majority of you must be physically perfect with no flaws the way you talk about others. At some point you will all have cellulite and wrinkles if you live long enough. There is no avoiding it. You can laugh at the physical flaws of others today, but in the end Nature will have the last laugh on you.
I’m not saying you can’t express your opinions, but the challenge is in finding a tactful way to do so.

So often I read comments on your site of how people want to see pictures of real women and how they are not represented and all of these women have fake plastic bodies, but when we see pictures of a real woman with curves and a little cellulite then it is a problem. Most women have cellulite… it is a genetic problem most of the time and has little to do with weight. This was never a small woman to begin with so to continue to analyze, criticize, and judge her body is a waste of time. She looks great even amazing. She is what most REAL women look like! I ADORE Jen for the following;
A. Pursuing her dream and making it happen. It takes a lot of courage. (That goes for her and her husband. Do what you want to do, isn’t that what we teach our kids? Dream and pursue it?!)
B. Being a strong sister in spite of her challenges.
C. Not falling in to the Hollywood facade regarding her body – EVERYBODY was not meant to be a 2, with perfectly toned thighs, abs, boobs etc. Everyone in the industry is not an eye-candy model. She is representing what the majority of sisters look like FOREAL, without the extras, even though she can probably afford to get them.
D. She’s a work in progress. There will always be something for someone to point out about everyone. Sad, but true. Her man knows enough about physical fitness to help get her together. Like another poster said, I have seen some straight foolishness on the beach, and she looks like a butterfly compared to the dried and fried prunes I’ve seen.
Back to sporadically popping in. Got a meeting. Miss y’all much.
Forgot to add- I’m thin and I have cellulite. So to all the critics, I guess I should go kill myself huh. LOL. My man doesn’t care about cellulite and neither do I!

I did not go in on her, I am proud of her…she looks like me after I had my son in 2007!!!

I’m not a big girl, but I see nothing wrong with the picture, either. She had a baby less than a year ago, and she’s never been a skinny woman. I think she looks like most black women.

I was about to comment on the cellulite yesterday but I didn’t i just said I digress. I don’t recall people goin in on her because of her size. So Shari was wrong in that aspect. Most of us felt she should tone up some before she put that suit on and I will stand by how I feel! I know for a fact I need to tone up big time before I get back in a suit and just like I don’t like seein it on me I don’t like seein it on other people! Sandra you had to know we were gonna comment on the cellulite as much as we notice even the smallest thing in a pic so you shouldn’t be surprised. You used to dog out Keri Hilson and then when you saw she gave you a shout out all of a sudden she’s sexy! Seriously by the looks of this picture, JHud has less cellulite than Venus Williams who is in top physical shape, so why would anyone be complaining about her cellulite. Also her stomach is significantly flatter than before she had the baby, I don’t know why anyone would want to give this chick a hard time about her weight or body. Truth be told, Jen looks better than she has looked in a loooong time. That being said, nobody rode her hard yesterday.

Jennifer Hudson came into this industry with her body type. She’s done some AMAZING things, shared her talent in music and film, won many many awards, she’s in a solid relationship most certainly, she is a mother. Why should she have to change now? that was the ONLY thing i said yesterday at 48 and 49…i got skipped on the heavy chested gene (not all flat either) but the ladies in my family who DID have it..pull out the big guns so to speak in the support department. lol. my mom and aunties will drop big money on good bras, get swimsuits customized etc. my aunt said once that a good bra changed her LIFE.

I’m 6 feet tall and if I must say so myself I carry it well. I’m toned and healthy. I could use more exercising in my day but until then if I want to wear a bathing suit I’m going to wear what I feel beautiful in. J-Hud must be feeling beautiful and feels validated by herself. Some people don’t wait for validation from someone they go by how they feel when they look in the mirror. All I can say is that “I’m beautiful damnit”.

And since you went into detail about acne, skin discolorations, body bein sub par etc apparently some one must have said that about you at some point because your azz is a little too emotional about the topic. People who criticize a lot are usually very insecure. People are always calling others judgmental when they are the target of the judgement, yet some of them are the biggest judgmental people around. The manner in which we judge will also be given back to us the same measure. Man looks at the outward appearance, God looks at the heart. We’d be in a better place if we followed that example.

Ummmm..read back Boo..I wrote on what a man isn’t, not what he is. But since you obviously are clueless, I guess you wouldn’t get that. And FTR, no neither one of us lives as a man..me or you. I wrote from a woman’s POV. Like I said, perhaps they appreciate your comments, but I can’t believe that any woman (fan club or not) would be happy to say, “yeah girl, my man be bloggin on Sandra Rose.” Chile, bye. Heck take a poll if u like. A lot of the posters are married..have boyfriends. You get so much love because you, my friend, are the “only”. Yes, there are other men here and there, but they apparently have more important stuff to do..How sad for you. Unless, that is, u are actually using this as a ploy to meet women. Now that I could see, it would still be almost as pathetic, but atleast understandable. Ok, Ok..I’m done. It’s late. I only came back for a little fun.
