I love to watch how narcissists like Tameka Foster react when they’re put on the spot. Self-centered narcissists only want to talk about are their own achievements and anything that makes them look omnipotent (influential).
But in this recent interview on CNN, anchor Don Lemon upset Tameka’s apple cart by asking Tameka about life after her dvorce from singer Usher, which she doesn’t want to discuss since “divorce” is a failure and not exactly a crowning achievement.
if you recall, it took Tameka a while to even admit she was separated from Usher, much less divorced! Watch her begin to spazz out and lose her cool at the 1:34 mark when Don attempts to take the spotlight off of her and onto Usher and the blogs (who helped make her famous).
Thanks to loyal reader Jovonna of mstrendy.com, who points out that Tameka should have her interviews scripted beforehand to avoid uncomfortable moments like this.
Tameka looks great, I watched her entire interview and I don’t remember her spazzing out. I don’t know why she was even being asked about Usher though, she was there to talk about mentoring in Black America, so as juicy as it may seem (it’s not really) I thought the line of questioning came out of nowhere and was inappropriate.
Don Lemon, he fine though. If he gets chocolate, I’d give him more lustful looks.
Thats not cool nor funny Sandra

____________
If she wasn’t there to talk about Usher then I don’t blame her. Stay with the topic on hand. She is more than Usher’s exwife. Let her be great!
Why is anyone interviewing Tameeka anyway
Maybe she needs to stay away from doing interviews. She can continue with her foundation BEHIND the scenes.
Have some dignity.
Sandra, why won’t you let Tameka be great?
She prolly shudda told them this interview is about ‘HER’ foundation.. NOT her divorce from Usher.. geesh! when are they gonna let this chick move on with her life.. we already know she was with Usher and they divorced… NEXT!
ps.. I didnt catch the ‘spazzin out’ part.. must have been h3lla quick
This was a waste of time and Sandra why are you antogonizing her???

Girl you can’t catch something that only exists in Sandra’s head :lolol: Tameka did not spazz out, she spoke about Usher briefly and respectfully, like he’s the father of her two youngest ones and there was no bad feelings between the two of them, even when Don went off on the tangent and implyied Usher’s album title was in reference to her divorce, she took it in stride like a grown ass woman.
I’m no Maneka fan, but the weave was right, the clothes too, and she carried herself gracefully. So KUFUGGINGDOS Maneka, you did that!
wait…what exactly is she mentoring young girls about? how to have several kids and then marry a “superstar” and have more kids by him and be set for life?
the interview was very unfair though…that little setup question to start talking about usher
Good morning…
I get it. She was asked about Usher because what other things of substance has she done? It only takes a hot second to talk about her foundation of sorts and that was evidenced in the fact that she kept repeating herself. I think she should thank her lucky stars that she was married and bred with Usher. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have EVER gotten on CNN to talk about that shaky foundation that she has going on. I know PLENTY of people who do good things, but are not recognized.
No, she didn’t spazz but you could definitely see the look on her face lol. Priceless!
@iscream
Why is anyone interviewing Tameeka anyway
the blogs made tameka famous!

Now Sandra, you know you’re reaching right? You know you’re reaching. She’s not quite comfortable with interviewing and the cameras as we can tell, but she did good. She didn’t put anybody on blast nor did she spazz out.
Ushers album was a total waste of $$$. His last album was so much better. As for Mrs.Foster move on & Usher needs to get his grown man on & stop acting like a teen bopper aka Justin Bieber
Actually…I think I’m more annoyed than Tameka is. she handled it very gracefully in my opinion. But she’s better than me, because when they cut back to me after showing that Usher clip, I’d have straight asked “so what was the point of that again? Would you like me to call Ursh up and see if he can talk to you about my foundation instead? Maybe then your A.D.D. will allow you to focus on the topic at hand a little longer. *smile*”
That was just rude. Ughhh! Journalistic integrity is a myth now.
Didn’t see a spazzing out at all. What do you look at things through, Sandy? A kaleidoscope cause you have things all screwed up more often than none. What’s your angle? You are so complicated, kinda like Shaft/Sybil.

Same thing I was thinking!!!!
The former Mrs. Raymond carried herself well in the interview. I can appreciate the fact that she and Ursher both state that they are friends…good friends. I can appreciate the fact that has hard as we go in on her…she tends to keep a positive demeanor
Was the purpose of the interview to promote her foundation or talk about life after Usher? Blank stare.
If the purpose was to talk about her foundation, then the questions should have been directed toward the foundation and not toward her personal life. The title under her name should have read Founder or CEO of XYZ Foundation and not Usher’s ex-wife.
Sidebar: Why are folks mad at this woman? They act like she has done something to them personally. At least she is attempting to do something with her life besides collect child support and alimony unlike most gold digging wives.
^^^^Youre right AttorneyMom, but she should stay off the radar at least till Usher is no more relevant.
I think she gave an excellent interview. She didn’t seem uncomfortable at all to me.

#Basically!
Where is the spazzin out part? Did I miss it?
She did a great job. What I saw in her face was I knew it was comming and she was prepared. She carried herself well and she spoke well. I always thought Tameka put herself together well hair and make-up. She is pretty I can see why Usher fell for her.
The interview was fine. She did a good job. I think some people are really reaching to insult and belittle this woman. Enough already.
Very Well Spoken! Go Tameka!

I saw the interview. I think she simply didn’t want to talk about Usher but she handled herself professionally and well. I wonder if she went off on Don after the cameras stopped rolling. She should have known that any interviewer is going to go there because it serves for gossip fodder. She’s going to have to be prepared to deal with Usher questions in any interview that she does unless she becomes famous enough in her own right to overshadow that.
Uhhhhh Sandra boo boo, what interview did you watch? What you said and I was I saw were totally different. But if the point was to talk about her foundation…bump talkin about Usher….And if he is on the DL like you say Sandra, why so many shots at Tameka and not Usher?
@777, Why should she not do her because of Usher being in the spot light? Not her issue.
ooops disregard that *I was* in the second line
I cant see the video but I like Tameka and think she doesn’t deserve the villainous rep she has. Hell Usher was a grown man not a child she took advantage of and hes to blame for his career missteps. She appears to be trying to move on so why wont people let her
it was a horrible interview, that’s for sure. don’s kinda sexy, just kinda.
i think she held her own pretty well. i think his line of questioning was out of place. it threw me off right at the same time it threw tameka off. his questions made no sense. i could see one or two about usher, if any, but she was there to talk about her organization. she mentioned being from the inner city, he throws out that she had access to so much, money, etc. AND? she’s still from the inner city with a story to tell.
i have to side with her on this one. don interview turned out awkward cuz even don didn’t appear to know what to ask her so he winged it with the dumb questions.
@Point-the interview was all over the place in my opinion. Did he not have a line of questions? She held her own on that one.
OK SERIOUSLY..
he asked her about usher because THATS ALL THAT PPL CARE ABOUT!!who is she REALLY??USHERS exwife!we dont care about NOTHIN she has goin on!all we carE about is her SCRATCHN UP HIS CAR AND OTHER stalkerish acts!i mean really…
If I was Tameka, I would have asked them waaay beforehand what the subject matter was going to be about and have them send me over my questions to my publicist or ent attorney. Then I would have x’d out what I wouldn’t want to discuss and have them agree to what I would and would not do. They wouldn’t have set me up on Cnn, no mam!
1st time I ever heard her speak…I like her hair and make-up it is on point. She did well to me…
Honestly… i think the Usher questions were coming out of nowhere!! He’s like “It must have been hard to be living a life like this while they are people not as privileged… THAT MUST HAVE BEEN HARD ON YOUR MARRIAGE!”
WHAT? Where did THAT come from???
Im just now reading the comments and had to stop @Redeemed’s first comment. What does her doing interviews about her foundation have to do with her having dignity? Why should she go behind the scenes? She should be able to do whatever she wants to do, he sure is but you’re not telling him to stay behind the scenes and have some dignity. This woman did nothing wrong, she fell in love which we all do, got married and had babies which many of us do, it didn’t work out so she got divorced end of story. Not to mention that she is doing interviews for something positive, something that benefits are youth unlike have these ex wives who are writing tell alls and putting all the business in the street for their children to later come across. Peoples hatred towards people they don’t even know kills me sometimes… back to reading the comments now
One more thing (I think) cause I’m gonna have to leave this post as I’m trying to stay positive but umm just so y’all know… she’s not a baby mama. From what I know of her all her kids were born in wedlock
I cant even see the video but
Nobody was interviewing her before Usher, so why are they interviewing her now???
Because of Usher, DUH!!! She cant get mad. She wouldn’t have married his ass if he wasnt “Usher” so she might as well get over it and embrace the fame that she wanted so badly.
Be careful what u ask for boo
Please excuse any typos I’m driving
funny interview lol
Tameka Foster did an INCREDIBLE job on that interview.
She was both gracious and articulate. She was able to deflect questions that had no bearing on what she was there for, while honing in on what she was there to discuss.
Great job, Tameka! Once again, you have put your detractors to shame.
Thanks for this post, Sandra. And sorry, you need more people.
I would have tensed up too if I was her, who wants to talk about they lame a$$ ex hubby? I know I dont!!
Tameka is really pretty, and she handled that interview well
This guy asked some weird questions. I would have had more respect for him if he had just said “look, the mentoring thing is great and all but I want to know about Usher!!”
I agree with everyone that Tameka was well-spoken and appeared relaxed and natural. This is the second interview of her I’ve seen and have been impressed by her seeming niceness and intelligence.
Wow, she doesn’t want to talk about Usher when he’s the reason she’s famous?
