Senegalese singer Akon rocked the house at KIIS-FM’s Wango Tango 2010 show at the Staples Center over the weekend.

Singer Akon, left, singers Kelly Rowland and David Guetta performed live at 102.7 KIIS-FM’s Wango Tango 2010 show at the Staples Center over the weekend.

Kelly performed in the usual slutty attire traditionally worn by today’s female singers who need to do a lot more with less — talent, that is.

I kinda like Kelly’s Christian Louboutin knock offs.

I hear that Kelly Rowland had to shoo singer Jason Derulo out of her makeup bag before the concert.

Raper Ludacris and his ever-present conjure bottle walked the red carpet at KIIS-FM’s Wango Tango 2010 show at the Staples Center over the weekend. I’m definitely not feeling that long sleeve shirt under short sleeve t-shirts style. On little children it’s cute, but on adults it looks mildly retarded.

Atlanta rapper B.o.B. also performed during the Wango Tango concert in LA.

Akon found a few decatur Flavors in LA at the Staples Center. Aren’t they lovely?

Wow all these color references. I was looking at a video where they showed children a color chart of skin color. The little children made statements like the dark skin person is stupid, dirty and etc. How they would rather be lighter verses darker. No wonder they feel that way

Nah, Man not in trouble. That would mean he was a child he has a right to voice his opinion. I just think it was cruel as well as the black curtian comment. People can’t help the skin they are in and should not be tormented because of it.

Nah I wasn’t talking about the doll film. This is a new short news report made recently using a color coded cartoon board. But they have a common theme. My family is like the rainbow as well and we never make comment about skin color because we never want to devalue family members.

Akon looks hot in those shirtless pictures Kelly looks pretty. Jason DeRulo (no comment). Ludacris looks nice. B.O.B is cute and I like his rap style, it reminds me of old school rap which is definitely a good thing! Those decatur flavors are better looking than normal.

Now if someone is to say that a person is not attractive because they are dark or light or will never succeed because they are light or dark, then I would consider that cruel. It doesn’t even have to be color, it could be because a fam member has no butt and a joke is made about that, or a fam member has a huge head. If you can’t joke with your fam, then who can you joke with? Now, I wouldn’t joke with Akon in person, because I don’t know the guy like that, although I understand he reads what is being said on blogs.

With that being said, I would never teach my child that one skin tone or color is better than the other, because it’s not, nor would I let my kids hear me joke with other adults about the issue.

It may not bother the deliver but it bothers the recipiant. They can hide the way they feel but you never know how it effects their psycological being. Behind closed doors one can only speak for themselves with this matter. Plastic surgery is widely spread across the world because of being teased or not measuring up to ones standards. My family encourages greatness from within and we don’t talk about someones short comings in a form of a joke. Because then they will always feel the butt of the joke. The skin color thing is the deepest rooted problem AA people face. Every family is different so I do respect your opinion.

@Candi, I understand and respect what you are saying… If we were always joking about the same thing, then I could say ok. But it’s not like we have a “roasting” session for one person about the same thing every time we get together. I’ve been the subject of a joke, just like everyone else in the fam, and have never went home and cried about it. If anything, I’ll join in with the joking. For example, I used to be realllll skinty, majority of my fam members are thick, so they’d tell me I needed to eat because I needed some meat on my bone. Well I was skinty, it was a joke. Why should I have gotten mad? I laughed right along and kept it moving. It’s all in fun. Especially with fam. Now if I had an issue with it, then no doubt, my family would cease the jokes and encourage me to embrace whatever it is. Personally, I think it’s a self esteem issue, that could be made worse by constant reminder from others.

You are right though, every family is different.

Not all is attributed to self esteem issues. Sometimes people go through things and someone can catch them at a bad time. Most people start life with high esteem its the journey through life that reduces it. Be it a family member or other mitigating circumstances.
