Singer Justin Bieber cancelled a live concert performance after a stunt went horribly wrong in Germany over the weekend.
The live show, based on bets mixed with live performances, was being watched by 10 million viewers on Saturday when 23-year-old Samuel Koch attempted to jump over a moving car wearing shoes outfitted with industrial strength springs.
The car, being driven by his dad, was moving slowly when Koch jumped over the roof and landed on his face behind the vehicle.
Koch suffered multiple fractures of his face, head and neck as well as back injuries. He is listed in critical condition following emergency surgery.
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber took to his Twitter page to announce that he was canceling his concert appearance due to the accident:
Bieber’s tweets suggested that he and his people made the decision to cancel his appearance, when in reality, the entire show was cancelled — not just Bieber’s appearance.
Once again a celebrity takes a serious situation and makes it all about him.
