Khloe Kardashian learns why Lamar and his father don’t talk

It’s every future mom’s hope for her unborn baby to have at least one set of grandparents around to babysit the kid while she goes clubbing. That may or may not be the reason why Khloe Kardashian is so concerned about her hubby, LA Lakers star Lamar Odom, reconciling with his father.

During last night’s series premiere of ‘Khloe and Lamar,’ Khloe revealed the real reason Lamar and his father don’t speak.

Khloe comes from a tight-knit family, where everyone is involved and supportive. Even though she lost her dad, attorney Robert Kardashian, to cancer at an early age, she enjoys a tight relationship with her stepfather, former Olympic gold medal winner Bruce Jenner. So it’s hard for Khloe to understand why a man would be distant toward his own father.

But in a single phone call, Khloe learns that Lamar’s father, Joe, was only interested in trying to get some money out of him. Khloe saw that Joe was nowhere near the father that her dad and Bruce have been to her and her siblings.

I really enjoyed the show last night. But I see allot of people are saying she didnt know that before they got married. Im sure he brushed it off just like he did last night. Its a touchy subject. I feel his pain. I wouldnt want to be around that either. All Lamar wants him to say is Im sorry and I want to be your dad. He said that clearly last night. Not hey son, I need grovery, I need tickets, I need, I need, I need. I wouldnt want to talk either. So sad but Lamar is use to it like he said and he has to keep that distance from getting hurt like he did as a teen. God Bless Him!

I have an uncle who won our state lottery a few years ago. This uncle before used to always host our Christmas dinners and invite everyone out, but we have a lot of people perferred to do their own thing with their immediate family on Christmas, so it would be just a few of us on his side and everybody else on his wife’s side of the family, but that year he won the lottery, all of a sudden, everyone wants to come on out to his house for dinner. I have a delimam and I really need you guys input…

Ok we were foster parents for years and during that time we had a girl come into our bome who had AIDS from birth. She was very bitter about her situation and we tried to help her for about 4 years. It eventually became too much for us and we had to let her go. She refused to sign herself back into care once she turned 18 so all of her state support stopped. She became homeless and showed up at more door and I allowed her stay. That did not last long because she has a really jacked dispostion. I told her she had to leave because it was effecting my children. She found a cousin in another state that allowed her to come move in with. (her family has tried but can not deal with her, they placed her in foster care after she was caught trying to have sex with her 10 year old cousin, she was 12 at the time and fully aware of her status. This is my delima…she is back in town (of course it did not work out with her cousin in the other state) and she is PREGNANT. The guy who she proclaims to be the father is her friend on FB. Should “someone” make him aware of her status? He may or may not know, but her being who she is I doubt it. Does he deserve to know? From the interaction on FB, I can tell he is with someone else now…Is it just not my business? I feel really sad about it….HELP!!!!

@NOLA, just put yourself in his shoes. I’m pretty sure you would want to know. Forget about being protically correct, if he doesn’t know, he in return can, and just may continue to spread it around unknowingly. And the sooner he can find out about it, the sooner he can get help and possbily get it under control. It would be nice for it to come from her, but obivously it looks like that’s not going to happen.

Sandra, I have to disagree… as a mother who lost mom and dad at an early age, I’m glad my son still has his dad’s parents around but I would have LOVED for him to have BOTH sets of grand parents, not to have someone to babysit ‘when I go clubbing’ but because I know the value of grand parents, and I know my parents would have been great with him !!!

i read on another site that lamar’s father left when he was young. his mom died when he was 12. he moved in with his grandparents and learned that his father was on crack. although his father has not been in his life, he pays his rent and gives him a monthly allowance. imo, lamar is a good dude. most people wouldn’t do that for their estranged father. i know i wouldn’t.
