Less than a week after her longtime boyfriend, Safaree Samuel, bashed her face in with a suitcase, Nicki Minaj met her contractual obligations by hosting a party at the Velvet Room in Atlanta Sunday night. But she didn’t stay long. In fact, according to a source who works at the club, Nicki stayed 15 minutes and then dipped!
My sources tell me she was paid a whopping $30,000 for her appearance at the Velvet Room in Tucker, Georgia, a suburb North of Atlanta. But when she got to the club, Nicki made it clear that she did not want to be photographed.
“She walked in like she was Michael Jackson, with 20 people and she wanted to sit in the VIP by herself,” my sources told me. “She walked into the VIP and stood behind her bodyguard for 15 minutes and then she left!” My sources say the entire club booed Nicki loudly as she walked out.
“In the six years that the Velvet Room has been open we never had anybody booed like that,” said my source.
“Nicki was paid all of her money but she left after 15 minutes!” said my source. Her manager Cortez Bryant tried to smooth things over with the club after Nicki Left, but my source said “She will never be booked her at the Velvet Room again! Even if she wanted to appear for free!”
Nicki’s security banned all photographers inside the club, but we managed to get pics of her anyway. Her boyfriend, Samuels, stayed in a corner of the VIP, out of the view of our photographer.
Nicki’s rider stipulated that her huge bar tab had to be comp’d. That means she got thousands of dollars worth of liquor and non-alcoholic beverages for free!
She demanded 12 cans of Red Bull (6 cans at room temperature), 4 bottles of Rose champagne, 2 bottles of Dom Pérignon, 2 bottles of Don Julio, 2 bottles of Grey Goose vodka, and the list goes on!
