Media darling Amanda Knox, an American student, was just acquitted of murdering 21-year-old British student Meredith Kercher by an Italian judge. Knox’s boyfriend, whose DNA was found on the murder victim, was also acquitted. The judge said the crime does not exist. Knox was ordered to pay court costs.
Following a four-year legal process, Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were freed a few moments ago following an appeal against their conviction for killing Kercher. Both Knox, 24, and Sollecito, 27, confessed to the murder of Meredith Kercher in 2007. They were sentenced to serve sentences of 26 years and 25 years respectively.
Rudy Guede, a black man who was sentenced to 16 years in prison for rape and murder, has exhausted his appeals.
Once again, the media has influenced a court to free a murderer who should spend the rest of her life in prison.

The judge in the case as on trial for another crazy case that he lost and was trying to make up for it..IDK, they have to give me weapons, blood, body fluids before I can tell a judge to give someone life. If I see some doubt, I am always going to say Not Guilty..I’m sorry..I don’t want that on my record when I get to the gates…

I don’t think she did, I think she was there. Also, while the media played a part, there were TWO judges on the jury. Now if you on a jury and a judge says not guilty, more than likely you gone say the same. I also think Italian government is a little shady anyway. All the military people advise to stay on your p’s and q’s while stationed there because they show no mercy to foreigners.

It seems like it was some sort of get together with all of them things got out of hand and poor Meredith was killed.

If she is guilty? Italy has no one but itself to blame for her being set free. The DA is crazy shady, then the crime scene was botched, the forensic teams were filmed picking up evidence and then placing it back down to photograph it. I believe she acted suspiciously but the police apparently lied about the evidence. They initially said they had the murder weapon with Amanda’s and BFs DNA on it. I watched an investigation on the matter last week and this is not true. They don’t have her DNA or his. The other man they convicted, his DNA was all over the place and he did confess. I don’t trust that she is totally innocent but I don’t believe they had enough to convict her. The police also told her she had HIV and had her make a list of all of her sexual partners, which they then published to the public to turn the public against her. She’s not angel but they didn’t have enough to hold her IMO. And being promiscuous does not automatically make you a murderer.
The evidence did not prove her guilt. The judge admitted he had a “feeling” she did it before any evidence was even permitted. I am glad she will be home with her family.

So Sandra, never mind that the evidence was weak. Never mind that there were experts who testified about how contaminated the evidence was. You were there so you’re absolutely sure she is guilty. Also, I doubt the US press influenced that Italian court.
Honestly I didn’t follow this case very much at all. But a few years ago I was on a jury for a murder case and I remember thinking wow I have this persons life in my hands. Not a good feeling. For me to send someone to jail for their life I have to have a lot of evidence. This damn DA put a dude on the stand with some damn bifocals on talking about how he saw the crime half a block away in the dark. SMH!! The DA had to drop the case in the end.
