Cobb County police are hunting a black man who kidnapped, raped and robbed a woman just after she left a CVS drug store in Austell early Tuesday morning.
Police say the 24-year-old woman was leaving the CVS on 800 East-West Connector in Austell when she was approached by a man with a handgun around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 25. Austell is a suburb northwest of Atlanta.
The man ordered the woman to drive him to an unknown location where he raped her. Afterwards, he forced the woman to drive him to several ATM locations where he withdrew money from her account.
After robbing the woman, the man fled on foot. The attacker is described as a light skinned black male with short dreadlocks. He stands about 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds.
“This is a very dangerous individual, and Cobb County police are very concerned,” said spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce. “We need the public’s help in identifying him so we can safely take him into custody.”
Police asks that anyone with information call (770) 499-3945.

Something happened to my friend not too long ago. Him and a friend were sitting at a red light and some guy with a gun came up to the car and told him to open the door. He got in the car and made them drive to different ATMs and got as much money as they could. Then her drove them to some rural road dropped them off and took the car.

I live about 30 min. from Austell and that area has been going down hill for the last 5 years. People think its safe because they half azz cleaned up the area and built a few new houses but the thugs are still there. I am surprised that the police were not parked at the CVS they usually are that time of morning. So sad….

Hey Lakes! It was me…..I had a dream one night that this man broke in my back door, and beat me up and raped me in front of my baby. I woke up…heart racing and teary. I got up immediately and check all my doors and windows.

Unfortuantely, I don’t live far from Austell and from time to time I have to go through there to get where I’m going. There are certain parts of Austell that are let’s just say little to be desired. Just like any other City it has it’s good sections and bad.
