Lauryn Hill is in big trouble with Uncle Sam.
The 37-year-old former Fugees singer owes the IRS more than $500,000 including late filing fees and penalties for the three years that she failed to file tax returns, according to the Associated Press.
Prosecutors charged the Grammy winner with “willfully failing to file income tax returns with the IRS” for 3 years.
Hill is scheduled to appear before a federal magistrate on June 29.
The Orange County, NJ resident faces an additional $100,000 in fines and up to 5 years in federal prison.
