According to the NY Post’s Page Six, singer Rihanna abruptly cancelled her move to London — along with all her television commitments there. The only logical explanation for canceling her planned move to London (based on what I’ve been told) is her rumored love interest, singer/rapper M.I.A., was signed by Roc Nation — the same label Rihanna is signed to — and now M.I.A. plans to move back to America from London.

Rihanna even tweeted “Welcome home MIA” on her Twitter account in late May.

As you know, Rihanna was spending a considerable amount of time in London visiting with the 37-year-old M.I.A. Now that M.I.A. is signed to the same label as Rihanna, M.I.A. is returning to the U.S. — where she lived until her divorce from Ben Bronfman.

The British-born singer of Sri Lankan descent gained fame with her hit single “Paper Planes” in 2007.

A source said, “She canceled her trip and all work commitments in the UK at the very last minute, which is very unlike her. She has been hitting it hard for months. She smokes, drinks and parties hard on top of work commitments.”
