I personally have seen clients who NEED the aid, but can’t get it, as well as those who woefully abuse the system.
Whats needed is NOT elimination, but monitoring!! I know someone who went all out to report a person for YEARS of Section 8 abuse (false income reporting to retain it, renting out rooms to tennants, etc)…but got NO where with the reports. The offender STILL lives on Section 8 (that is in someone elses name) today!

Thank the Lord I’m done with undergrad and my job pays for grad school because the pell grant hooked me up with $3500 each of my 4 years

I work in college access. It doesn’t affect me; it affects my students so, it’s still a horrible idea.

Agree I saw my pension fund statement a few months back and was like why the hell it seems to be decreasing rather than increasing. Found out it was those stock market. Sadly I work for the govt where they contribute to your pension plan and theres some clause that says they can gamble with your money for your benefit. How is it my benefit when you keep loosing? Look into the Kyrene school district which is in chandler/Tempe or the chandler unified school district. Lol it’s hot here but it’s a dry heat, no humidity. If you don’t mind getting tanned lol you’ll be fine. Arizona does celebrate MLK day, and the parades for MLK get as rachet and ghetto as any other state. There are no beaches here lol so I don’t know who told you there where 8. Pretty much everywhere you are in the Phoenix metro area (Tempe and Chandler are included) will have good nightlife. Restaurants turn into clubs at night and there are plenty of bars.
Yeah, it took me a few years to get over that. I finally accepted her friend request last year on FB. Now she’s always talking about “you have a beautiful family” “your wife is so lucky” blah blah blah.
In actuality I brought that shait on myself, NEVER should’ve messed with another man’s wife. I know that I shouldn’t harbor any ill feelings towards her, and I’ve told her that I forgiven her.
