Unemployed NFL player Chad Johnson, 34, has a lot of free time on his hands these days. The Miami Dolphins fired the troubled wide receiver in August following his arrest for allegedly headbutting his soon-to-be-ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada, 42.
While Lozada is busy making the rounds of the talk show circuit telling her sob story to whoever will listen, Johnson continues to work out in the hopes that a team will take pity on him and give him another chance.
In the meantime, Johnson had Lozada’s face tattooed on his leg in a desperate bid for attention. Johnson, who married Lozada in a fake made-for-TV wedding in St. Maarten on July 4, took to Twitter.com on Tuesday to correct a Twitter follower who thought he and Lozada were getting divorced.
“Divorce? Child please… that’s my WIFE,” tweeted Johnson, who either didn’t get the memo that a divorce petition has been filed or he and Lozada have gotten back together for the sake of their careers. According to inside sources, both Johnson and Lozada are flat broke. They have no choice but to get back together so VH1 can air their reality series so everyone can get paid. We’ll see what happens…
