Today is Wiz Khalifa Day today in Pittsburgh, PA. City councilman William Peduto yesterday proclaimed 12/12/2012 Wiz Khalifa Day, honoring the 25-year-old rapper whose first hit record, “Black and Yellow”, helped put Pittsburgh on the map as Pot Central.
“Wiz Khalifa is proud of his Pittsburgh background and takes every opportunity to sing the praises of Pittsburgh around the world,” said Councilman William Peduto Tuesday.
I guess it doesn’t matter that Wiz, born Cameron Jabril Thomaz, is actually from North Dakota. The city council members must have run out of choices for a more appropriate resident to honor.
The rapper’s third album, O.N.I.F.C. hit stores last Tuesday, landing at #2 on the charts with 131,000 copies in first week sales.
