Miami Heat Superstar LeBron James, 28, uncharacteristically snapped on point guard Mario Chalmers, 27, during the hotly contested game between the Heat and the hapless Indiana Pacers last night at American Airlines Arena in Miami.
Miami Heat fans are used to seeing team Captain James “correcting” Chalmers on the court, but not to this degree.
The Heat were down by as many as 11 points in the 3rd quarter when Pacers small forward Paul George drained a 3-pointer. James apparently blamed Chalmers for blowing the defensive coverage on Paul. During the time out, LeBron and Chalmers continued jawing at each other. Suddenly, James lunged at Chalmers and had to be restrained by Udonis Haslem and Assistant Coach Juwon Howard.
Like the class act that he is, LeBron apologized to Chalmers twice — once during the game and again on Twitter.com after the game. Watch the video below.
I love @mchalmers15 like a blood brother! I was wrong and apologized to him! We good and will always be good. I ride wit him any & every day
