Suspects robbed dying woman at Taco Bell

Police arrested 3 thugs who robbed a mother of two after she suffered a fatal brain aneurysm in a Wichita, KS Taco Bell drive-thru.

WAKE.com reports 43-year-old Danielle Zimmerman drove to a Taco Bell in the 3700 block of East Harry on Sunday, Dec. 29. She suffered a brain aneurysm as she pulled into the parking lot where she lost control of her SUV and crashed into the speaker box.

As she lay dying in the driver’s seat, three heartless thugs robbed Zimmerman of her purse, iPhone and her wedding ring.

“Instead of trying to help her, somebody robbed her,” said Zimmerman’s husband, Kris. “How could you take somebody’s wedding ring off their finger?” Kris Zimmerman said.

The Taco Bell manager said he looked outside and saw a man get out of a silver car in front of Zimmerman. He said he saw the man walk toward Zimmerman’s SUV. The silver car was gone when the manager went outside.

Zimmerman died the next day, the Associated Press reports. She leaves behind her husband and two sons, 13 and 18.

On Monday, Police announced the arrests of Quanique Dontrell Thomas-Hameen and Daquantrius Shaquill Johnson, both 19. A third suspect, Keith Byron Hickels Jr., 19, turned himself in on a probation violation. ALl three were charged with robbery.

A reward of $2,500 had been offered for information leading to the apprehension of the suspects.

“Since there were several people trying to help Ms. Zimmerman at the time of the incident, we hope they or someone else might have information about the robber,” said Gordon Bassham, executive director of the Wichita Crime Commission. “There is someone out there who can help solve this crime.”

Some of Zimmerman’s property have been recovered, but her wedding ring is still missing, WKAK.com reports.
