Rev. Run‘s eldest son JoJo Simmons, 26, and his girlfriend are expecting a baby.

JoJo, whose real name is Joseph Ward Simmons Jr, made the announcement on social media.

Rev. Run, 50, and his wife, Justine Simmons, have 3 children.

Jojo is the Rev. Run’s youngest child by his first wife, Valeria Vaughn, who also bore him 2 daughters, Vanessa and Angela Simmons.

Media mogul Russell Simmons is JoJo’s uncle.

The world has changed when the order of things has changed from dating, marriage, kids, house to hooking up/casual dating, kids, playing house, breaking up, and maybe never a house. Out of wedlock kids is the normal now. Actually getting married first would be looked at as strange.

Well what’s normal about the divorce rate being 60%? I think what you are seeing is those who are married are failing and putting a negative spin on what marriage is especially in social media. So essentially maybe if married folks stayed married there wouldn’t be such a negative light on it; also people are living like today not thinking about the future….I personally will get married before my next child bc the person i’m with I can see them for life and I want that bond, I want his last name.. Folks today don’t want to work for love they want passion, the notebook or some shyt in a script…I want that first bit of hot mac and cheese love…filing, contentment, and satisfaction. I remember when JoJo went to Russell and said he wanted a line of sneakers. Russell told him that he should intern. A few episodes later Vanessa and Angela came to him with the same idea and he told them to present their ideas. JoJo went from being the only son to the forgotten middle child. He had it pretty rough. Even Vanessa beat him to the out of wedlock child!
