Despite spending thousands of dollars on weight loss procedures and skin bleaching treatments, Hollywood writer Shonda Rhimes says she’s not interested in snagging a man.
The 45-year-old mother of three adopted daughters says she has no plans to ever get married. She said she dreamed of having children since she was 5.
“I’m one of those people, since I was 5, I could tell you I was going to have kids,” she told Women’s Health. “I could tell you I was going to have three. I could tell you they were going to be girls,” she continued. “But I never wanted to get married. I never played bride. I was never interested. I don’t know what it is; I never wanted to get married.”
Rumor has it that Shonda is a closeted lesbian, which explains her aversion to men and her crush on Oprah.
The celebrated scriptwriter, whose hits include “Scandal” and “How to Get Away With Murder,” said — in so many words — she hopes her daughters don’t grow up to be lesbians.
“I feel like there are ways to represent women owning their sexuality and having a strong point of view about it and it not being this taboo thing that’s hidden in a closet somewhere,” Rhimes told Women’s Health magazine about her obsession with gay sex in her shows. “I hope my daughters grow up to have amazing sex. I really do,” she added.
