A child custody battle played out in an elementary school’s principal office in a heart tugging scene that was captured on video.

During a sad reunion with the biracial girls and their father, the girls cried and pleaded with him not to leave them with their mother.

The father explained to them that they were on the way to court to see a judge — but they had to ride to court with their mother and the mother’s boyfriend.

The oldest daughter stuck her tongue out at her mother before dissolving into tears and embracing her dad.

The father, a Jehovah’s Witness, calmed his daughters by praying.
