2 Chainz borrowed from Rihanna‘s style palette for his BET Awards wardrobe inspiration. The 38-year-old rapper wore a Gucci embroidered denim jacket with shearling lining on the red carpet on Sunday.
The patched denim jacket by Alessandro Michele is hand-stitched and adorned with individually embroidered appliqués hand-sewn in a process that takes approximately four hours for each jacket.
The fabric undergoes a treatment process that involves stone washing with enzymes and pumice stones to give it the desired distressed look. It is then sprayed to achieve a marbled, vintage effect.
The oversized mens jacket retails for $4,950. The women’s version (worn by Rihanna) is sold out.
