Frank Ocean’s new album didn’t drop as promised, Twitter reacts with disappointment

Frank Ocean

It’s Friday and still there is no new music from alternative singer Frank Ocean.

The openly gay singer/songwriter promised to drop Boys Don’t Cry, the follow-up to his 2012 sleeper album Channel Orange, in July. But July came and went without a peep from the 28-year-old New Orleans musician.

For some reason, fans are waiting in anticipation for this album as if Ocean is a platinum-selling R&B icon with a stack of hits in his catalog.

It’s disturbing to see people so emotionally invested in an album from a mediocre artist with no track record.

Is it because this album is rumored to be gay-themed album? Or is it just because Ocean is trending on Twitter?
