Leslie Jones is the latest victim of Internet hackers. The 48-year-old Ghostbusters star was hacked and her nude photos leaked online Wednesday.
Jones deleted her Twitter.com account after Twitter users taunted her and called her ugly names last month.
In response to the attacks, Twitter rolled out a “quality filter” that is automatically turned on for everyone who uses the Twitter platform.
The quality filter blocks unwanted content such as harassment, bullying, racism, and homophobia from the user’s timeline.
But critics argue that the feature censors conservative users and prevents their tweets from being viewed on a user’s timeline.
As mentioned before, the quality filter is automatically turned on for everyone. So if you notice less content streaming on your timeline, that’s the reason why.
You can turn off Twitter’s quality filter by logging in to Twitter and clicking on Notifications > Settings > and unticking “Quality filter”.
