Slowly but surely black Hollywood starlets are shedding their hair weave and makeup for the all-natural look.
Actress Gabrielle Union is the latest star to join Alicia Keys‘ makeup-free movement after TODAY‘s Tamron Hall hopped on board.
Union, 42, posted a Snapchat video showing off her bare face, glowing skin and freckles.
She captioned the video “Alicia Keys,” and said, “No makeup, head wrap, hey Alicia Keys I see you!”
During a recent appearance on the TODAY Show, Keys, 35, used baby wipes to scrub off host Tamron Hall‘s makeup.
Keys said she was inspired to go makeup-free while working in the studio recording her new album.
It’s astonishing that it took a biracial woman to make black women appreciate the beauty in our own skin.
Let’s pray this movement isn’t just a passing trend.
