New Jersey police are still searching for a 32-year-old backup dancer and dance instructor who went missing after leaving her colleagues a mysterious message.
Shirleen Quigley was last seen by her landlord on Saturday, October 22, at approximately 3:00 pm, according to the North Bergen Police Department’s Facebook page.
Police recovered Quigley’s car and her cell phone, which she left behind at a bridal store.
Quigley recently moved to the New York area from Los Angeles. She toured with some of the biggest names in hip hop, including Beyonce, Rihanna, Missy Elliot, Mary J Blige, Jamie Foxx, Ray J, Ashanti, and more.
Rihanna took to Instagram.com on Monday to make an emotional plea for any information on Quigley’s disappearance.
Rap producer Missy Elliott also posted a message on Instagram.com, calling Quigley a “sweet, caring spirit.”
A friend left a Facebook comment saying she saw Quigley “in the area of the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan on October 23, 2016 at approximately 12:55 am. She was still wearing the same clothing described by her landlord.”
Quigley’s father, who lives in California, said his daughter left a message for her colleagues at a dance studio asking them to substitute for her.
“Get ready, it’s about to happen and I’m going to need you to sub for me,” she wrote.
She didn’t explain what was about to happen.
Quigley’s father, who last spoke to her on Friday, didn’t say whether she had a history of mental illness.
“She’s everything to me, she’s why I live,” he said.
