Brexit is more than about an amalgam of monies there are companies in England that are owned by citizens of other European countries that are going to have to determine what they are going to do once Britain officially exits the EU.

Let’s look at NAFTA. Most of the U.S. car companies have a system in place where different parts of vehicles are made in Canada and Mexico but the vehicle is assembled in the U.S.

Well if Trump tinkers with NAFTA and causes other countries to apply tariffs to goods then those same vehicles will cost more.

And don’t expect companies to start building factories and in the U.S. and hire those unemployed or under-employed people in the Rust Belt just because the corporate tax rate is cut.

The cost of U.S. labor is too high and not competitive with the rest of the world. If they do bring back some manufacturing to the States they will rely heavily on automation unless Trump decides to devalue the dollar to bring U.S. labor rates in line with the rest of the world but the adverse consequences of that would be unpleasant.

I’m not reading past this point, but thus far I appreciate your comments. If you have the energy, then go for it. Me, myself, I soon realized that you can’t wake those who really, really enjoy a good sleep – at ALL costs. Truth offends more than it soothes.
