Tennis ace Serena Williams finally found a man to put a ring on her finger. Williams is engaged to Reddit.com co-founder Alexis Ohanian, 33, who wrote “She said yes” in a post on Facebook.com Thursday.
“I came home. A little late. Someone had a bag packed for me. And a carriage waited. Destination: Rome,” wrote Williams, 35, on her verified Reddit account.
“To escort me to my very own ‘charming.’ Back to where our stars first collided. And now it was full circle. At the same table we first met by chance,” she added.
She continued: “But by choice. Down on knee. He said 4 words. And I said yes.” Ohanian shared the Reddit post on Facebook, simply writing, “She said yes.”
Williams has a history of failed relationships with men including rappers Common, Drake, and a former tennis manager. She indicated the nuptials will take place in Rome where she first met Ohanian. Williams speaks fluent French and Italian.
