Rejoice ladies. Rapper Nicki Minaj has confirmed rumors that she and troubled rapper Meek Mill have gone their separate ways. The 34-year-old Trinidadian native confirmed the split in a post on Twitter.com Thursday.
She wrote: “To confirm, yes I am single. Focusing on my work & looking forward to sharing it with you guys really soon. Have a blessed New Year. Love u.”
Minaj, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj, has maintained longterm relationships with emotional unstable men in the past.
Rumors ran wild on social media that the couple was no longer an item.
Nicki stayed by Mills’ side when he had trouble with the law in his hometown of Philadelphia. A judge there sentenced him to home confinement and forced him to wear an ankle monitor after he violated the terms of his probation in probation in late 2015. Meek was convicted of illegally possessing a firearm and assaulting a police officer in 2013.
One of their last public appearances together was at a nightclub in Atlanta in early December.
