After denying published reports that she was adopting twin girls from Africa, pop singer Madonna finally comes clean. The 58-year-old superstar released an image of her adorable 4-year-old daughters, Esther and Stella. The image was digitally altered to conceal the children faces.
Last month it was revealed she had filed adoption paperwork with Malawi’s court, but Madonna denied the rumors.
On Tuesday, the Malawi court approved the adoption.
“Today the High Court made a ruling that she should go ahead and adopt the two children,” said Justice Fiona Mwale. “In fact, at the time we were granting her the permission she was in the courtroom with her lawyers.”
Madonna can take her daughters home, but she will be monitored for one year by the court.
Madonna previously adopted 2 children from Malawi, a baby boy, David, and a baby girl, Mercy. Both children are now 11.
She also has 2 biological children, Rocco, 16, with ex-husband Guy Ritchie, and Lourdes, 20, by Cuban actor Carlos Leon.
