Lopez ‘liked’ an Instagram photo of the promiscuous ladies man on Wednesday, just hours before her rep broke the news that they were dating.
It was his promiscuity that broke up his 6 year marriage to Cynthia Scurtis, 44, the mother of his daughters Natasha, 12, and Ella, 8.
Just 3 weeks ago, Rodriguez posted an Instagram photo of he, his ex-wife and their 2 daughters watching the Grammys together in his Miami mansion.
The fact that J-Lo’s rep broke the story so soon in their relationship, and A-Rod isn’t even following Lopez on Instagram gives an indication that he may not be serious about her.
“She seems excited,” a source close to Lopez told PEOPLE. “He has been around her family and she really likes that he is a dad. She is aware, though, that he is a ladies’ man too and is being cautious. For now, it’s just fun. She is single and enjoys dating.”
After the announcement, the tabloid media and gossip blogs quickly dubbed the pair “J-Rod”.
A-Rod recently ended his relationship with Silicon Valley CEO Anne Wojcicki in February after dating for less than a year. He was previously linked to Madonna, Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz, and a slew of Hollywood starlets.
Sharp-eyed observers noted J-Lo ‘liking’ several of Rodriguez’s Instagram photos, particularly the ones where he dotes on his 2 adorable daughters. Lopez has said A-Rod’s close relationship with his daughters is what led her to ask him out on a date.

In a recent appearance on daytime talk show The Real, Lopez said her twins, Max and Emme, are her top priority.
“You know, they’re always first,” Lopez she told The Real‘s co-hosts. “When you put them first, then everybody else understands the hierarchy.”
