ABC’s much-hyped Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner reunion interview with Diane Sawyer saw a ratings decline on Friday.
The first 20/20 interview between Jenner and Sawyer in 2015 (when Jenner came out as a cross-dresser) garnered 17.1 million viewers. But Friday’s 20/20 special didn’t even come close.
In fact, CBS reruns beat out Jenner’s interview in the crucial adults 18-49 ratings demo.
Jenner, 67, promoted his new book in which he claims he underwent sex change surgery and no longer has a penis.
Next stop for Jenner is Tucker Carlson Tonight, hosted by Tucker, who takes over Bill O’Reilly’s 8 p.m. time slot on Fox News on Monday (April 24).
Jenner, a Republican, is expected to discuss politics and his disappointment in President Trump’s transgender bathroom policy.
Carlson usually rakes guests over the coals. But considering Jenner’s fragile mental state, Carlson will probably go easy on him.
