CNN PRODUCER CAUGHT ON HIDDEN CAMERA ADMITTING CNN REPORTS FAKE NEWS FOR RATINGS

John Bonifield

CNN’s credibility was rocked after an undercover investigator for Project Veritas infiltrated the newsroom and apparently planted fake Russia stories that were reported by CNN as fact.

CNN retracted a Russia collusion story from its website last week and apologized to an associate of President Trump who was falsely implicated in the article.

Three CNN employees were forced to resign on Monday, including the producer of the cable network’s new investigative unit.

Thomas Frank, who wrote 2 Russia articles for CNN.com that were never verified, also resigned.

Then the other shoe dropped.

A hidden video recorded by Project Veritas shows a CNN producer eagerly admitting the network ignored legitimate news stories for months in order to report on the Trump/Russia probe for ratings.

In the bombshell video, CNN producer John Bonifield admits CNN’s non-stop Russia coverage is for ratings.

“Trump is good for business right now. Our ratings are incredible right now,” he says.

Bonifield admitted CNN pushed the Russia narrative without any evidence.

“I haven’t seen any good evidence to show that the president committed a crime,” he says. “I think the president is probably right to say, like, ‘look, you are witch hunting me. Like, you have no smoking gun, you have no real proof.'”

He admitted CNN didn’t scrutinize former President Obama the way they are scrutinizing everything Trump does — because viewers would have been turned off.

Bonifield also theorized that Hillary Clinton lost the election because she didn’t play the game right.
