Rapper Meek Mill was taken into custody by the NYPD on suspicion of driving a dirt bike “recklessly” through the streets of New York City on Thursday.
Gossip webloid TMZ reports the Philly rapper, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, was detained at the Upper Manhattan Precinct after being taken into custody for reckless endangerment.
Meek’s initial contact with the officers was captured on his Instagram’s live stream.
He can be heard telling someone in his crew to “call Phil” — presumably his manager Philip Smith.
Meek Mill has had numerous run-ins with the law in recent years. He served prison time for drugs and gun possession. Meek is best known for dating rapper Nicki Minaj.
