Rap mogul JAY-Z turns 48 years old today (Dec. 4). The rap mogul whose real name is Shawn Carter has been in the rap game for 3 decades — longer than most of his fellow rappers have been alive.

Jay-Z, a Sagittarius, celebrated his 48th birthday early with the Brooklyn Nets. Brent Yormark, CEO of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment ordered an intricately detailed custom cake commemorating the mogul’s life and career.
