The White House denied allegations that former senior aide Omarosa Manigualt Newman was escorted from the White House after she screamed obscenities at staffers on Tuesday.
According to published reports, Omarosa and President Trump spoke on the phone for about an hour on Tuesday. The two friends exchanged pleasantries and the conversation was said to be “warm and cordial”.
Omarosa starred in the first season of Trump’s popular “Apprentice” TV series in 2004.
The White issued a statement on Wednesday, saying Omarosa “resigned yesterday to pursue other opportunities”. Her resignation will take effect on January 20, 2018.
But a CNN contributor claimed Omarosa was “vulgar” and screamed obscenities at White House Chief of staff Gen. John Kelly after he terminated her on Tuesday.
American Urban Radio Networks’ April Ryan said a source told her that Omarosa did not leave the White House quietly.
Ryan claimed Manigault Newman “acted very vulgar and cursed a lot and said she helped elect President Trump.”
But a source told Britain’s Daily Mail that Ryan or her source lied and that the two women “used to be friends.”
“April Ryan has a problem with the White House, with Omarosa,” said the source, who claimed that Ryan has “a personal vendetta that carried over from the feud earlier in the year.”
