Logan Paul Attends 102.7 KIIS FM's 2017 Jingle Ball

After a week of closed door meetings, YouTube has announced they are cutting ties with their cash cow Logan Paul.

The video-sharing giant made the decision after Logan, 22, posted a video of a dead man hanging from a tree in Japan's notorious "Suicide Forest".

YouTube announced the popular vlogger is no longer a premiere publisher in the Google Preferred ads program, and none of his exclusive films will be offered on the video platform's subscription-based YouTube Red service.

Logan will still be allowed to post videos on YouTube and monetize his videos under the standard revenue share of about $2,000 per every 1 million views. He will no longer bring in the big ad dollars that he enjoyed as a preferred YT vlogger.

Logan earned $12 million in YouTube revenue and endorsements in 2016.

YouTube made it clear that the 'suicide' video was Logan's "first strike". But crtitics complained that YouTube has ignored prior complaints about Logan's offensive antics on the video-sharing platform.

They point out that Logan's 15 million strong membership is comprised of mostly adolescents and teenagers.

Logan was forced to beef up security around his home amid death threats.

  • Quagsire!

What a dummy with a sick sense of humor.

  • You Could Never

If Nene cant joke about rap, he cant take pics of bodies hanging from the trees like strange Japanese fruit.

    The end.

  • Dowoop

This is fair. He can still post but will make nowhere near the amount he was making before. Hit him where it hurts. Im sure he has learned his lesson.

  • Karen Brady

He looks like a fool. In 2018 we should give less time and attention to the "others"

  • Ryan

Welp. People like this need to understand that while free speech exists, it's a double-edged sword. Dummy burned bridges with YOUTUBE. There goes that money.

  • Omega

Why they aint cut ties with pewdie pie

  • starbright9449

Parents need to monitor their kids and stop forcing their jobs on others. Someone shouldn't have to change the way they live their lives cause you can't monitor what your kid watches. Logan looks old for 22 and he sounds like a douche. Never heard of his biutchazz. He better sell that mansion for a pretty penny or find another way to pay the tax on it lol.

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

I agree. What he did was stupid and insensitive, but which of us can say we've never done something stupid and insensitive before... especially at age 22? No need to destroy the dude over this.

  • ?Royalty?

My nephew (13) and I got into a whole argument over this kid over the Christmas break.
The guy is a jerk. I've seen his other videos. Watching his nonsensical antics k!lls brain cells.

  • Evillene

It's a valuable lesson. If you are an imbecile whose livelihood depends on the goodwill of a fickle public then you'd better try hard NOT to be an @sshole. Don't care what happens to this guy.

  • Dontgetdraggedhoe??

He already made as much as humanly possible on yt he does GIve af

  • 100milesperhour

Bad publicity for the company. They had to let him go.

  • Yoni7

What's the saying....."Just being a dick won't make yours any bigger." Toodles, fukk boi!

He will now take his YT privilege and find something else to do. The way AMURDICKKKA is set up, he might end up in the white house.

  • NeverSurprised

Yeah, well, let's not give YouTube too much credit. I don't think they really had a choice since it was Google Preferred who made the decision to drop him.

If YouTube. really wanted to punish him, they would ban him from the platform altogether, but they want to keep getting their percentage of his earnings.

  • Noirluv45

Yeah, but who wants to cut of their revenue if they don't have to?

  • Breitbart_Savior

According to Christianity if you commit suicide you go to hell. And according to our highly politically correct, weakening society if you record someone after they've killed themselves you lose you job.

So many holes in this narrative....

  • Noirluv45

Yeah, that's true, BUT, sometimes our stupid mistakes cost us something as he's very well learned.

  • NeverSurprised

Exactly. Not only was he making 12 mil, but his brother, mother and father also have channels and they are making millions as well (not as much as Logan, but a pretty penny). His brother has been criticized in the past for posting racist videos, but he is still on YT.

  • Noirluv45

The world is full of contradictions, isn't it?

  • Phillybruh

That debt he about too be in will be NO joke.

  • hottlanta

Ain't no way in hell that folks wouldn't question his lifestyle with him balling like that and not investigate him for dealing drugs if he was black. They question our lifestyle at work when they think our houses are too big, clothes are too expensive, how we pay for certain schools and especially if we take a vacation to other places besides Florida on Greyhound. If we get a first class ticket we got hell to pay and him living in that big azz house and no one questioned nothing.

  • Rayne

He should not be able to post videos nor monetize a damn thing.

  • iWasteTime

    He'll be back.
6 months and a new page... shit, 90 days and a new page.

  • NeverSurprised

Yep. YT isn't losing their share of all that ad revenue without a fight.

  • NeverSurprised

But the 13 year olds are the reason he made millions. Prank videos are his bread and butter, and kids are his audience. He is a wealthier, modern day version of Bam Margera.

  • Dowoop

Seeing as how there is a low % of Christians in Japan i dont think they are too concerned with that Christianity says. He also didnt lose his job. He lost his sponsorship/endorsement. He can still post all the crap that he want to.

  • Coy little wink

12 million for acting the fool...sheesh

  • NeverSurprised

It's ridiculous to think YT is really punishing him so long as he can still post. Instead of $12 mil, he will get $2000 per million views. He has 15 million subscribers. Most of them will be sure to log in to show their support as soon as he is back up and running. He will easily still make at least $1 mil per year even on the regular platform.

  • Ny MaGee

Ahh, when white males fall from grace, I take such joy out of it. :-)

  • Nikkiknows

Life comes at you fast...*shrugs* #ohwell

  • Kim’s Original Face

Gotta hit him where it hurts those pockets...Bet you he will know next time....although I did like the movie the thinning he was in

  • Ms.Vanilla

    Who said that?

  • kbellaloves

I think they had to make an example out of him...many youtubers complained that they have been penalized for far less. YouTube even removed some folks video they made regarding him in his video. I believe they only did it to keep good terms with the rest of the youtube community..

  • justlooking

It don't even matter, he has mad millions and can go to college are find another source of income.

FOOD TV paid him a large check as well.

  • Kanyade

Wow, so they are punishing him "some". He'll still get some monies. He'll be alright. Hopefully he learned a lesson---a very valuable one, in basic human decency.

I wonder how is brother is fairing? Jake Paul. He's also big on the Youtubes.

  • AnotherBlackGirl

I don't give two cents about this Logan clown.I don't feel sorry for him. Youtube should have cut ties with him. Youtube made the right decision. He made a dumb decision by filming a suicide victim and making fun of it.He's a white male, he will be just fine.

  • SweetTEE

    Good enough for him.

  • Yoni7

Hey! Did you ever get through Wentworth?

  • Tammie Reed

Most 22 year old boys do dumb chit, hopefully he learns from this.

  • Ms.Vanilla

Chile no. I couldn't take it. I'm just not about that life. It's too harsh for me. It is good though if you like that kind of show.

  • TheOwley

There will be a for sale sign coming up soon on that multimillion dollar house he just bought. He's 22 going on 12.

  • Candance

  • BadAss Will

Trust me once this blow over YouTube will get him back. It's all about the money. He been doing crazy shit for years. His brother to..

  • Yoni7

I will say it IS grimy (and good). I can't wait until the next season.

  • SemajBeyPhilly

  • SumthinSweeter

I don't care about young yt like that or any loses he suffered from being dumb. Literally he is a non mf factor in the grand scheme of real life issues for the majority of the readers on here who are black.

  • Unhappy American

Goofball!! Dude was NEVER funny SMH

  • Being bad is way more fun

He brought it all on himself so he got what he deserved !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Overpower Radio

I didn't see the video. What did he do that was so offensive? I'm thinking it cant just be that he showed a body hanging from a tree. With all the shootings and tragedies that are on social media, what brought this over the top the point he started receiving death threats?

  • dontgetblocked

He makes Youtube money. They ain't cutting him all the way off.

  • Enoughsaid2020

Hope he saved some money. I might have to sell that house, and move into his parents basement. Dummy!

  • kekeb

    22 year old Girls too

  • NeverSurprised

They laughed at and mocked the deceased -- made fun of the situation. Didn't show respect for the dead

  • Ebony N’ Sweet

He won't be able to afford his 6.5 million house in about 5 years.... It was kinda stupid to buy a house that expensive in the first place lol.... If i was rich, i wouldn't spend no more than $2 million for a house.

  • Desiree Edwards

He's a complete douche, did he even apologize to the dead persons parents or family? He's a disgrace, and making money off being a douche bag

  • Gabriel L. Acevedo

    A grade A, douche...

  • YellowSauce

doesn't pay to be a mean person ... especially because you think its funny
I do however think the point has been made
there really are human laws of decency that should be respected
