Embattled Youtube star Logan Paul hired a security firm to guard his $6.5 million Los Angeles home after he posted a video of a man hanging from a tree in Suicide Forest in Japan.
The 22-year-old Vlogger, who earned $12 million from endorsements in 2016, posted a video of himself and his friends laughing and joking as the camera zoomed in on the man’s body hanging from a tree.
“Did we just find a dead person in the suicide forest hanging?” He asked a Japanese guide who was leading his group through the forest. “Yo, are you alive? Are you f-cking with us?” Logan joked on camera.
Logan deleted the video — titled “We found a dead body” — amid furious public backlash to the video. He later announced he was taking time off to “reflect” as the controversy raged.
Paparazzi photos show a lone security vehicle parked outside Logan’s gated seven bedroom, nine bathroom mansion.
According to published reports, Logan’s 15-million strong Youtube membership consists of mostly adolescents and teenagers.
Japan leads the world in suicides with an average of 29,000 suicides a year for 3 consecutive years.
