TV couple Tisha Campbell-Martin and Duane Martin have called time on their 20-year marriage. The actors, who are parents to two sons, have called it quits and filed for divorce.
“After 27 years of being together and two amazing children, it pains me to announce that I’ve filed for divorce,” a statement from the actress to People.com reads. “It’s an emotional time and I graciously ask for privacy for me, our children and the rest of our family.”
Duane, 53, and Tisha, 49, owed tens of thousands of dollars to the IRS and money troubles plagued the couple’s marriage.
Duane has yet to comment on the split.
The couple wed in 1996.
The shock divorce news comes two years after the pair filed for bankruptcy, revealing a $15 million debt.
The stars’ assets at the time included $65,000 in real estate and $248,000 in personal property.
