Now that his Cleveland Cavaliers are winning again, LeBron James is turning his attention back to President Donald Trump, whom he hates with a passion. During an appearance on UNINTERRUPTED‘s “Rolling with the Champion” segment, hosted ESPN’s Cari Champion, LeBron said President Trump does not “give a f— about the people.”
In the segment, Jemele Hill’s BFF Champion pretends to be an Uber driver ferrying James and Warriors star Kevin Durant in the back seat of an SUV.
“The climate is hot. The number one job in America, the appointed person is someone who doesn’t understand the people. And really don’t give a f— about the people,” James said of Trump.
LeBron added “While we cannot change what comes out of that man’s mouth, we can continue to alert the people that watch us, that listen to us that this is not the way.”
“It’s all about leadership,” Durant chimed in. “I learnt that from playing basketball.”
When Champion mentioned money and privilege making rich people “numb” to Trump’s “racist comments,” James said having the word “ni–er” spray painted on the gate of his Brentwood mansion “Let’s you know I ain’t too far removed… and I still got a lot more work to do.”
“No matter how much money or access” black people achieve in America, he said, “They will always try to figure out a way to let you know that you still beneath them.”
LeBron is preparing to coach Durant and other East team all stars during Sunday’s NBA All Star game at the Staple’s Center in Los Angeles on Sunday.
