Meghan Markle’s dad’s will not attend her Royal Wedding this weekend. The old man got himself disinvited to the wedding after he staged a paparazzi photo shoot with a photographer.
According to UK’s The Mail newspaper, Thomas Markle Sr. secretly arranged with a Los Angeles-based photographer to stage photos of himself preparing for his daughter’s big day on Saturday.
Surveillance video footage shows 73-year-old Thomas and the photographer taking photos inside an Internet cafe for around 10 minutes before leaving.
The photog also staged pictures of Meghan’s dad getting a suit fitted by a staff member at a party shop next door to a tailor. They had to improvise because the tailor’s shop was closed.
The photographer was paid $135,000 for the pictures. It isn’t clear what Thomas Sr.’s cut was.
Buckingham Palace reports Mr. Markle will not attend the wedding after he humiliated his daughter and Prince Harry.
TMZ also reports Thomas Sr. suffered a mild heart attack last week but had checked himself out of hospital as he had hoped to walk his daughter down the aisle.
According to published reports, Meghan’s mother Doria will give her daughter away.
Thomas Markle Jr., who is estranged from his half-sister Meghan, wrote an open letter to Prince Harry three weeks ago warning him that it’s “not too late” to call off the wedding.
Tom Jr. wrote: “this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history.”
