Jamie Foxx expressed his disappointment with gossip tabloid TMZ for exploiting rap producer Kanye West and trying to embarrass him.
In an interview with a TMZ videographer on Thursday, Jamie explained that TMZ knew what they were doing when they published video of Kanye saying slavery is a choice.
Jamie slammed TMZ for exploiting Kanye by inviting him to the newsroom – knowing he was off his medication.
“TMZ knows they shouldn’t be doing that shit man,” says Foxx. “To a good friend of ours. They put that boy on display man, don’t believe that shit.”
Kanye was admitted to a mental ward in 2017 after he went off his meds and experienced a mental breakdown.
Jamie and Kanye collaborated on some of Kanye’s biggest hits including “Slow Jamz,” and “Gold Digger”.
“My man going through something, man,” Foxx said. “I ain’t going to be like everybody jumping on the bandwagon saying I hate my dude. I’m not gonna do that shit.”
Speaking to Kanye directly, Jamie said, “I know my man needs some help and if you need me call me.”
He added: “Stop making stupid people famous!”
