Former President Barack Obama pulled no punches after President Donald Trump announced his decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Iran nuclear agreement on Tuesday.

In a long post on Facebook.com, Obama criticized Trump’s decision to kill the Iran deal, as his legacy lay in ruins.

Calling the pullout “misguided,” Obama said Trump’s decision could lead to a “more destructive war in the Middle East.”

“The reality is clear,” he wrote. “The JCPOA is working – that is a view shared by our European allies, independent experts, and the current U.S. Secretary of Defense. The JCPOA is in America’s interest – it has significantly rolled back Iran’s nuclear program.”

Obama said exiting the deal is a mistake that could “embolden an already dangerous regime,” and put America’s allies at risk.

“the consistent flouting of agreements that our country is a party to risks eroding America’s credibility, and puts us at odds with the world’s major powers.”

Iranian lawmakers proved Obama right in a public protest. They burned the American flag and chanted, “Death to America!”

Obama’s supporters expressed outrage on social media as the final pillar of Obama’s legacy fell crashing to the ground.

But others called on Trump to demand the return of that pallet of $400 million in cash that Obama sent on a military cargo plane to Iran in the dead of night.

Many argued that the money could have gone to fix Flint, Michigan’s water issues or to build more houses for the homeless.

The hashtag “RETURNTHECASH” trended on Twitter.com on Tuesday night. Twitter users accused Obama of continuously supporting terrorists such as ISIS, which thrived under the Obama administration — but is practically nonexistent under Trump.
