Sandra “Pepa” Denton, 51, Spinderella, 46, and Cheryl “Salt” James of Salt-N-Pepa showed off their fancy footwork while En Vogue members Cindy Herron-Braggs, 56, Terry Ellis, 54, and newcomer Rhonda Bennett, 41, flexed their vocal pipes for the appreciative audience of millennials — most of whom were too young to remember when the superstar groups topped the charts in the 1980s.

The groups performed a medley of “Whatta Man,” “Push It,” “Shoop,” and “Let’s Talk About Sex.” They were joined onstage by host Kelly Clarkson who sang the final chorus as confetti dropped from the ceiling.

The performance was a celebration of the 30th anniversary of Salt-N-Pepa becoming the first female rap artists to hit the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.
