A New Jersey woman vows to shoot down the “Trump Baby” balloon when it embarks on a North American tour next month.
Kathie Kitt Conklin is aware that her unlawful actions will result in her arrest. So she created a GoFundMe account to raise funds for her bail.
Conklin created the account after a New Jersey man successfully raised $23,000 to bring the diapered balloon from the UK to the United States.
The Trump Baby balloon was a hit in London where it flew over large crowds protesting President Donald Trump’s UK visit last week.
If all goes well the $30,000, 20-foot balloon will fly above Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ. Conklin plans to shoot the thing down on sight.
“I’m tired of people disrespecting our President! I plan on taking out this ridiculous balloon,” she wrote on the GoFundMe page.
“This GoFundMe page is set up for bail in case I become arrested, which is likely. If anyone is interested in supporting this cause. Please feel free to donate.”
The page was promptly shut down by GoFundMe, according to WNBC.
Officials with GoFundMe told the Asbury Park Press the campaign violated its terms of service and donations were refunded, according to AJC.com.
